If you have firefox you most likely have heard of a little add-on called addblockplus. This app does as it says it blocks ads all kind of adds the google ads, flash ads and everything in between. Now why is this bad after all advertisement’s are very annoying especially the flashing ones, well you see every time you click on a advertisement the person that put the ad up gets money the company that gave the person the ad to put up gets money and the advertiser gets notices and the process continues itself and that’s why companies come to the Internet. If we continue to block ads companies might look away from the Internet as a good way to advertise but some websites has taken action some website will not let you view the website if you have adblock enabled why? because that’s how they pay the hosting costs and some websites don’t allow you to use firefox altogether. my opinion on this advertisements is not the only way to make money although its the only way for some but i don’t think websites should go as far and block firefox altogether that’s the only browser some people have. I’m not going to lie i have ad-block enabled but the websites that please turn off adblock we desperately need it to survive i do so the reason i have adblock on is because some websites over do advertisements. A situation is you are browsing a website and then popups and ads start showing up and that highly slows your computer down especially if your Internet is slow. At the end of the day i think if websites want to continue advertising make the ads more appealing (and i don’t mean moving flash ads) and less annoying.
